Well what can I say……this team has such a special place in my heart! Every single kid that we have had playing together for the past few seasons has brought myself so much joy in the game of coaching football. All their hard work landed them a well deserved Super Bowl Championship victory
in the highly competitive
NFL Flag New Mexico organization. Thank you NFL FLAG New Mexico for all the support and covering the entry for our team to compete in the 8U AZ Regional Championship Tournament.
We got to take a bus out that was graciously donated by
Santa Fe Valet & Limousine which was everything we needed and more! We can’t thank you all enough!! The players and parents rode together as we took the boys and team to represent the 505 in AZ. I know the bus ride their and back will be memories in itself that those boys will remember for the rest of their lives.…I know I still do!
The tournament ended up being one for the books!! The cold rain must have followed because it didn’t get above 52 degrees and was pouring rain from Saturday morning to Sunday night once we got back. The boys were thrown back with brand new rules, times, playing conditions, and being the youngest registered team but they rallied their way to a 2nd place overall finish in pool play with only ONE touchdown scored on them
. It came down to 5 seconds we didn’t have left and were yards away from making it to the Regional Tournament championship game.
